I have recently relocated to Mivart Studios, Bristol.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">My work has been exhibited widely throughout more than 30 exhibitions in Mexico, Colombia, the UK and Spain. Highlighted shows include 2005 Women in Mexican Fine Arts, Museum of Mexico City; The View,\u00a0Gallery of Fine Arts, Cali, Colombia &amp; Sector Reforma Guadalajara Jalisco, M\u00e9xico; 2012-2017 Coexist Hamilton House Open Studios Bristol; 2017 Threshold Festival, Baltic Creative, Liverpool, UK; 2014 Fascinate digital arts Conference and Showcase, Falmouth University and 2018 Camaradas UK &amp; M\u00e9xico Art competition.\u00a0, Espacio Gallery, London, UK.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In September 2011, I was invited to participate in the performance \u201cFrom Morning till night\u201d by Katerina Seda at the Tate Modern, London.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-word;\"><strong>STATEMENT<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-word;\">Concerned with the idea that a landscape is a reference to a specific place, my work is inspired by what Marc Auge defines as \u2018non-places\u2019 &#8211; transitional locations that do not deserve to be considered as a proper place because of their anonymity.\u00a0Taking photographs of the elements for inspiration,\u00a0my most recent work fragments the canvas with different segments and perspectives. Realistic images become abstractions removed from a place.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-word;\">I am concerned with the impact of digital technologies on \u2018traditional\u2019 landscape art-forms.\u00a0 I have sought to engage the general public with my work in new and original ways.\u00a0 In recent years, I have collaborated with a digital artist to augment a number of my exhibitions with generative music and also to create several virtual reality installations using my work.\u00a0 These VR pieces use my paintings as source material and textures to create animated, immersive 3D environments.\u00a0 When on display, the original paintings are then exhibited alongside the VR installations.
